In my Hobart studio, I work with clay as both a material and a conversation partner. Self-taught in ceramics, I’m drawn to slipcasting for its precision and potential, the technical processes and the range of achievable outcomes.

Over the years, I’ve developed my own blended clay body, built an extensive catalogue of handmade plaster moulds, and created a library of signature glazes and finishes.

These elements come together in a body of work that is durable, practical and cohesive, yet carries the maker’s touch in every stage of the process.

Each piece in my core range explores balance: where function meets aesthetics, and where the everyday rituals of life are elevated through thoughtful design.

The challenges inherent in working with clay are part of what shape my approach, inspiring forms that embrace unexpected lines, textures, and ideas.

The Tasmanian landscape is a quiet collaborator, its colours, contours, and moods subtly echoed in my glazes, finishes, and forms. My tableware and household pieces are made to be lived with, used and enjoyed every day.

Meanwhile, in the background, I’m slowly developing abstract works that move beyond utility, expressing felt experiences of place and time. I look forward to sharing these soon.
