Wattle is named for the Derwent Wattle, a variety of Yellow Flowering Acacia found only in Tasmania. Twice a year it bursts into bright, fresh lemon yellow blossom, and I’ve developed this glaze to capture that burst of colour. There's an unmistakable scent that lifts off the flowers as the late spring sun warms them, and that sensory memory- sun, scent, and colour together are uniquely Tasmanian for me.
Comfortable in one hand or two, with just the right weight and size for a proper cup of tea on a rainy day in.
Approximate size: 290ml / Diameter 85mm / Height 70mm Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
Each piece varies slightly in tone and surface. No two are the same.
